Hours after Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi reaffirmed her stance on not impeaching President Donald Trump freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to say she respected the Speaker's position, but didn't think removing Trump from office would ever be completely "off the table".

"I think Nancy Pelosi is clearly already starting to lose control of her party".

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) said on C-SPAN on Tuesday that he will bring an impeachment vote to the House floor soon. "They decided this. We didn't elect a majority of Democrats to the House to allow Republicans to determine the fate of the country".

'Given the documentary evidence, the cancelled checks, given the audio tapes, given the other witnesses who are cooperating with the special counsel, it certainly appears there's no shortage of evidence, ' said Schiff.

President Richard Nixon resigned amid the Watergate scandal in 1974 after the House Judiciary Committee approved articles of impeachment but before the full House had a chance to vote. "It was unnecessary and the rest", she said. He was also an instrumental actor in the impeachment proceedings of President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s, so he knows a thing or two about how one prepares for criminal charges against the chief executive.

Last year, heading into the midterm elections, Pelosi discouraged candidates from talking up impeachment, preferring to stick to the kitchen table issues that she believes most resonate with voters.
