Five people were killed and three were injured when a small plane crashed into a home on Sunday outside of Los Angeles, authorities said.
Martino says two other people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The crash killed the male pilot of the plane and four people - two males and two females - who were in the single-family home, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said on Twitter. No other identifying information such as names or ages was immediately released. The two-storey home was the most heavily damaged structure.
The two-story house burst into flames after being hit by the plane's main cabin and one its engines, sending panicked neighbors into the streets.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are now investigating.
PS Plus cloud storage will increase to 100GB starting next month
We guess you could stockpile a few, or get friends and family additional codes as gifts, if you are feeling that generous. When responding to a commenter, PlayStation Blog's James Hallahan responded: "Adding them to your library will suffice".
Clint Langford, another neighbor, recalled hearing a low rumbling sound right before the crash.
"The witnesses I've spoken with say that they saw the airplane coming out of the clouds - it was still in one piece - and then they saw the tail breaking off and then the wing breaking off and then something like smoke before the airplane impacted the ground", said Maja Smith, an investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board.
Elfver, 75, said he ran to his backyard and saw a house engulfed in flames.
Aerial footage from news helicopters showed plane parts, including side panels and a propeller, scattered on rooftops and driveways near the burned house.
"It wasn't intact", he said as the plane came toward the neighborhood.

Panicked neighbours rushed to the burning home, dousing burning debris on the street with water from garden hoses. "The plane didn't hit and scatter, it blew up and hit the house".
The debris field spanned about four blocks, he said.
Rain from a winter storm helped firefighters extinguish the house fire.
