Michigan, Missouri and Utah vote to legalize marijuana in midterm election

Missouri became the latest state to allow medical use, while a proposition in Utah also appeared poised to pass as of Wednesday morning.

Residents can also grow up to 12 plants for personal use.

Four states are set to vote Tuesday on whether to legalize marijuana for recreational or medicinal purposes amid growing support for the cannabis industry's entrance into mainstream society. And Canada recently did so.
