The Monroe County Board of Elections reported that as of 10 a.m. voter turnout was up countywide. That breaks the record set in 2014 for a midterm election, officials say.

The figures, as of October 26, show an increase of approximately 23,000 mail-in ballots over the last midterm election, 2014.

Ballots must be received by county clerks by 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Statewide, 2,070,936 registered Democrats, 2,049,181 Republicans and 986,963 unaffiliated voters have already voiced their choice.
