Beware of the message that will crash your PlayStation 4

15 October 2018

If you've received a malicious message with three heart emojis followed by a question mark box symbol, chances are your PS4 has frozen up and either needed a factory reset or a database rebuild to correct it.

According to users, a message containing a string of characters (or a specific one) has been shutting down the hardware.

Why farmers are forcing climate change into the spotlight
The climate change taking place around us is a sign that it's high time to work collectively to Earth from being polluted. Pre-industrial levels refers to the climate before the industrial revolution when greenhouse gas emissions were stable.

The first is to ensure that you set your incoming messages to enable just friends to contact you or no one at all. PS4 owners have gathered on Reddit to document the issue, noting that the console can crash just from receiving the message, even if it's not opened.

For example, a gamer with the username Huntstark1 described a situation they encountered as their team was involved in a match-up of Rainbow Six: Siege. "All you need to do is delete the message via the PS messaging app, and use Option 5 in Safe Mode to sort your console out".

Hurricane Michael devastates Florida with ferocity 'like nothing we've seen before'
Michael was the fourth hurricane to make landfall in the a Category 4 storm in the past 14 months. "Could be even years". One of the four victims from Florida has been identified as Steven Sweet, the Gadsden County sheriff's office said.

People who've been hit by the glitch say that the message remains on the console and resets it each time they try to turn it on, so they've used a factory reset to wipe it. Once the database rebuild is underway, it will scan the drive and create a new database of content installed on the system. Sony hasn't officially confirmed or commented on the issue as yet.

From a web browser, visit the PSN Privacy setting page, then sign in with your PS4 account credentials. We all have had to factory reset. To do this simply go to settings, account management, privacy settings, personal information, messaging, and selecting one of the above options.

Why won't the Duchess of Cornwall be at Princess Eugenie's wedding?
According to Parker, Eugenie's ring wasn't meant to be a copy of Catherine's ring, which originally belonged to Princess Diana. Eugenie was determined to make sure her lavish wedding bash was bigger and better than Meghan's May nuptials.

The sad part is that you can not receive the message by accident, so irresponsible gamers are purposely sending them with the sole aim to do harm.
