Key Senators Undecided As Senate Poised To Vote On Kavanaugh

Manchin released his decision and statement just minutes after Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins also revealed that she will vote yes for Kavanaugh.

One of them, Republican Susan Collins, was due to announce at 3:00pm local time on Friday which way she would go in the final vote.

However, Murkowski also disclosed that though she is "a no" on Kavanaugh, she will vote "present" on Saturday in deference to Kavanaugh-supporting Montana Sen. Manchin is up for re-election this November in West Virginia. One woman held a sign saying "Predators Club" with pictures of Kavanaugh, Justice Clarence Thomas and President Donald Trump. That includes a visit September 29 to WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

The pair were the last senators to declare their intentions ahead of a final vote which is now expected to take place on Saturday afternoon.

Kavanaugh's opponents raised concerns that he'd push the court further right, including possible sympathetic rulings for Trump.

Murkowski has expressed unease with the sexual assault allegations lodged against Kavanaugh, which he denies.

Teenager Prithvi Shaw roars at Rajkot with Test century on debut
Overall, he faced 137 balls and hit only four boundaries, not the most fluent knock by the world's No 1-ranked test batsman. After Shaw and Cheteshwar Pujara added 206 runs for the second wicket, Virat Kohli too chose to join the run-fest.

Koegler wrote that there a minimum of seven people who knew about the Ford's allegation of assault and were not interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. "We must always remember that it is when passions are most inflamed that fairness is most in jeopardy".

Protesters have confronted lawmakers on the street and in elevators throughout the week. The association does not expect to complete this re-examination before the Senate vote. "Threats or other attempts to bully her will not play a factor in her decision making whatsoever", Annie Clark said in a statement before the senator announced her support for Kavanaugh.

Collins and Murkowski are the only GOP senators who support abortion rights, a crucial issue in the Kavanaugh debate.

Midway through the vote, as stoic, stone-faced senators sat speechless around them, Collins and Murkowski began an animated conversation in hushed tones. The office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said it is trying to figure out what to do.

But even if Collins flips, it won't matter unless she finds someone to flip with her. As the lone Republican to vote against cloture, it would be very odd for her to then vote for his confirmation. Referring to the judge's sworn response to Ford's testimony, Markey said, "We heard anger".

Vice President Mike Pence has planned to be available Saturday in case his tie-breaking vote was needed, which now seems unlikely.

Saudi King would not last 'two weeks' in power without U.S. support
Would you say they are rich? Criticizing America's longstanding military relationships with allies has been a hallmark of Mr. Trump said, in his -N General Assembly speech in NY last month, that OPEC members were ripping off the rest of the world.

The Senate is now composed of 51 Republicans, 47 Democrats, and two Independents; the latter typically vote with Democrats.

Deeply coloring the day's events was a burning resentment by partisans on both sides, on and off the Senate floor.

Flake forced Republicans to launch the additional investigation last week after a tense negotiation with Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats. He accused Democrats of emboldening protesters: "They have encouraged mob rule".

Democrats meanwhile condemned the investigation - the parameters of which were reportedly set by the White House - as preordained. Collins says she is pro-choice, but has claimed, despite evidence to the contrary, that she believes Kavanaugh would not overturn Roe v. Wade. They said he also seemed ready to rule for Trump if federal authorities probing his 2016 campaign's alleged connections to Russian Federation try to pursue him in court.

She praised his judicial record and argued there was no corroboration of a sexual assault accusation made against him by psychology professor Christine Blasey Ford.

Kavanaugh foes cast him as a product of a hard-drinking, male-dominated, private school culture in Washington's upscale Maryland suburb of Bethesda. And there is some sense that Manchin, despite the fact that Trump won his state by 43 points and he is up for reelection in 32 days, wouldn't be willing to be the 50th (and deciding) vote on Kavanaugh.

Brewers' National League Division Series game times announced
The Brewers' victory averaged a 13.5 household rating in the Milwaukee area, or nearly 115,000 southeastern Wisconsin TV homes. Should they do that, the Cubs will have a great shot to keep their postseason going beyond just one game.
