'Judgement day has come': Gloria Allred reacts to Bill Cosby's sentencing

26 September 2018

He had just learnt his fate, after Judge Steven T. O'Neill sentenced the actor to serve time in state prison after he was found guilty of the sexual assault of Andrea Constand.

Andrea Constand arrives at the sentencing hearing for the sexual assault trial of Bill Cosby in Norristown, Pennsylvania, September 24, 2018.

"But I'm very happy to know that Mr. Cosby will do time in prison - that he's touchable like he touched us", Lasha said. Cosby has been at the center of the #MeToo movement as dozens of women have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault.

Cosby, 81, has also been categorised as a sexually violent predator, meaning he must undergo counselling for life and be listed on the sex offender registry.

He added: 'As she [Constand] said, Mr. Cosby, you took her lovely, healthy young spirit and crushed it'.

Cosby has remained out of prison for the past five months on $1 million bail, and his lawyers said they plan to appeal his convictions.

Green, Cosby's attorney, asked for a sentence of house arrest and said that Cosby was not a danger to anyone.

The tight end explained his reasoning, and it was quite simple: He didn't want to run routes for anybody but Tom Brady . Over two career games against the Packers, Gronkowski has eight catches for 123 yards and no touchdowns.

A spokeswoman for the Montgomery County district attorney's office says Cosby will be held at the county jail for at least the next few days.

"Bill Cosby took my handsome, healthy young spirit and crushed it", she wrote. In his more than 50 years in showbiz, the 81-year-old comedian and star of The Cosby Show had racked up enough awards and honors to fill up a small museum.

Another Cosby accuser in the courtroom, Lili Bernard, said, "Maybe this will send a message to other powerful perpetrators that they will be caught and punished".

"Sexually Violent Predator" status requires lifetime registration, lifetime mandatory sex offender counseling with a treatment provider and notification of the community that a "sexually violent predator" lives in the area. Prosecutors asked for 5 to 10 years behind bars, saying he could still pose a threat to women.

"Being blind doesn't make you unconscious", she told the court on Monday, on the first of his extended two-day sentence hearing.

She testified that Cosby has a mental disorder that attracts him to non-consenting women, and that "he is likely to re-offend".

Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Steven O'Neill also made a decision to designateCosby a "sexually violent predator" under Pennsylvania law.

Humans will account for the remaining 58% of the work, down from the current task hours of 71%, wrote the WEF . A major challenge, however, will be training and re-training employees for that new world of work.

Constand later led a class action lawsuit of 13 women who claimed they had been abused by Cosby, which was settled out of court in 2006.

The sentencing came as another extraordinary (hash) MeToo drama unfolded on Capitol Hill, where Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh stands accused of sexual misconduct more than three decades ago.

He's 80 years old.

In the statement, she described herself before the assault as a young, strong woman looking forward to a future with bright possibilities.

She also wrote: "We may never know the full extent of his double life as a sexual predator but his decades-long reign of terror as a serial rapist is over".

Cosby's first trial in 2017 ended in a mistrial when jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict.
