In addition to the new XS and XS MAX, Apple has also announced the new iPhone XR, the latest budget iPhone that still packs a mean punch. But what AAPL stock holders and analysts cared about were new iPhones, and on that front, the company didn't disappoint.
You'd think that the yearly iPhone update would be the big news, but it really wasn't-the new Apple Watch has a bigger display with curved edges, and the software has been dramatically updated with new watch faces that take advantage of the new display.
According to Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, it's the most 'advanced single-lens camera the company has ever created'.
Perhaps no detail was more important than the key piece of information Apple kept secret until today: pricing. This year, we're getting three new iPhones. We're talking some small upgrades on last year's iPhone X model (which at the time was billed as "the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone"). The GPU is up to 50% faster than the GPU in the A11 Bionic processor in the iPhone X. The A12 Bionic chip can handle up to 5 trillion operations per second, compared to the 600 billion for the iPhone X. There's a new Smart HDR feature for maximising colour performance, too. It also offers improved IP68 water resistance. The phone is larger than the iPhone X, with a 6.1-inch LCD display. It clocks in with a whopping 6.5-inch display, the largest Apple has ever offered on an iPhone.
The flying elephant of the new lot is the iPhone Xs Max, which sounds like it could be a new flavor of Mountain Dew, or perhaps an extreme sport. It also features a king-size price of $1,099.
The aluminium iPhone Xr will launch one week later on Friday, October 26, 2018. The iPhone XS and XS Plus are proper ultra-premium flagship Apple smartphones with the best technologies that the Cupertino behemoth can cram into a phone right now.
The new Apple Watch Series 4 device has a 35% bigger display screen than its predecessor and comes in two different sizes: 40mm or 44mm.
This includes the $1099 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max, the $999 5.8-inch iPhone XS, and the $749 6.1-inch iPhone XR.

The dual camera array makes a reappearance on the back, but now you can adjust the bokeh effect, post-capture, in Portrait mode.
The iPhone Xr will come in white, black, blue, coral, yellow, and Product Red. The Apple Watch can detect irregular heartbeats and detect if you might have a problem with your heart. "It will feel like they have a device that's modern because it will look like one of the new ones but not have the cost".
The day has finally arrived, Apple fans!
