Tesla stock plunges after Elon Musk ‘smokes marijuana’ during web interview

During the podcast, Mr Rogan offered Mr Musk a joint, which he said contained a mix of tobacco and marijuana - dried leaves and flowering parts of the female cannabis plant.

Friday's plunge puts Tesla stock more than 30 percent off its all-time intraday high of $389.61.

"You probably can't [take a drag] because of stockholders, right?"

Marijuana is legal in California, where the interview took place, but Musk's phone later started buzzing.

Roy Moore sues Sacha Baron Cohen for defamation over TV stunt
In addition to Cohen , Moore is suing CBS and Showtime for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and fraud. He says that the release form he signed should be considered null and void as it was signed under false pretenses.

Chief Accounting Officer Dave Morton gave notice Tuesday that he was resigning less than a month into the job, according to a Friday filing.

"As a result, this caused me to reconsider my future". Morton, who joined Tesla on August 6, was quoted in a company filing on Friday saying he believes "strongly" in Tesla and that he had no disagreements with the company's leadership or its financial reporting.

However, Musk admitted that "the electric airplane isn't necessary right now", as he is focusing on other things, including the many issues he's dealing with at Tesla right now. Morton, whose departure comes after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission opened an inquiry into Musk's aborted plan, joins a list of executives who have left Tesla recently.

Musk announced later in August that the company would remain public. In the first quarter of this year, the company lost Morton's predecessor, Eric Branderiz, and Susan Repo, who was treasurer and vice president of finance. Musk floated a take-private price of $420 - roughly a 20 percent upside from the stock's levels at the time - and claimed he had the "funding secured". Later, Tesla's eccentric CEO tweeted that he was negotiating the go-private deal with buyout firm Silver Lake, investment bank Goldman Sachs and several other firms, including the Saudi Arabian government. Musk asked Rogan to which he responded, "Totally legal".

He said Kim emphasized that he has not once talked negatively about Trump to anyone, including his closest advisers. That summit will be a crucial indicator of whether larger nuclear negotiations with the United States will proceed.

The two then drank some whiskey and discussed how alcohol is also a drug.

That apology appeared to be disingenuous, however, because on Wednesday, Musk repeated his earlier allegations in an interview with BuzzFeed News.

"I'm not saying it's going to be successful", Musk said, though he noted it has already dug a mile-long tunnel under the streets of Los Angeles.

The 7th Congressional District is the only one in the state where minorities comprise a majority of the population. But she also argued her case in part based on identity, saying last week that "representation does matter".
