"I noticed there was a blank wall at McDonald's so I decided to make this fake poster of me and my friend". "I needed one friend to record and two friends to help me hang it up".

Two friends wanted to see more Asian representation in McDonald's ads.

In June, Maravilla and Toledo went to work on their poster.

Maravilla said he was with a friend at McDonald's when they noticed a blank wall and the idea of making sure Asians were represented was born.

Jevh says he was anxious his parents would be cross but they were so amused they visited the restaurant and posed for photos with it. Fifty-one days later, the poster had still gone unnoticed by staff.

Jev and his friend, Chris, took a picture in front of their neighborhood event center, edited the photo to match the graphics in the McDonald's posters, and received a print of their picture a week later. One of them even dressed up as a store employee instructing his pals to put up the poster, which hasn't been removed since July 13.

Jevh also shared how the prank unfolded in a YouTube video posted on Sunday. He told USA Today: "Like, for Asian men".

"We weren't trying to make a bad rap with them, we weren't trying to do any harm", Maravilla said.
