Lucas Torreira: Arsenal set to complete signing of Uruguay midfielder

Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira has admitted that he has been delaying his proposed move to Arsenal until after Uruguay's campaign in the World Cup, as per a report from the Daily Mail.

The Gunners have reportedly agreed upon a fee with Sampdoria - a fact confirmed by their president - as well as personal terms with Torreira, with only a medical pending to complete the deal.

The timing will depend on whether he flies straight from Russian Federation to London now Uruguay are out of the World Cup following their quarter-final defeat to France, or travels via his homeland.
