Park defeated countrywoman Ryu So-yeon on the second playoff hole to claim the KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Kemper Lakes Golf Course in Kildeer, Illinois, on Sunday (local time).
South Korea's Park Sung-hyun won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship following the first three-way play-off in the tournament's 63-year history.
Fifth-ranked Ryu and sixth-ranked Park each birdied the first playoff hole, the par-4 18th, while Nataoka was eliminated with a par.
But after carding the low round of the week, Hataoka fell on the first of two playoff holes, both of which Park birdied to win her second major following the South Korean's victory at the U.S. Women's Open previous year.

"My third shot was quite a tough bunker shot, so I had to go a little sideways", Ryu said. It was her fourth LPGA title overall after last year's U.S. and Canadian Women's Open crowns. Ryu, who won last year's ANA Inspiration and the 2011 US Women's Open, finished with a half dozen birdies.
Following two 69s and a 67, Ryu allowed the two golfers to tie after she carded a 1-over 73, cancelling out four birdies with a bogey and two double bogeys. She won the NW Arkansas Championship last week for her first tour title.
Park rolled in birdie putts on both playoff holes, the second one dropping in at the par 4, 16th hole after a 20-minute weather delay. Park made a brilliant par save on 16. Then, playing the par-5 11th - which is reachable in two - Henderson's birdie chip from off the green ran well past the hole, and now she needs a new wedge. I feel like all the work I've put in has paid off today, and that's really what made me cry. After settling for a double bogey, she was tied with Park and Nataoka for the lead.
Sergio Ramos left in tears after Spain crash out of World Cup
Russian Federation have reached the last eight despite having a world ranking of 70, the lowest in the tournament. Following the loss Iniesta said to the reporters: "It's a reality that is my last game with the national team".
Hataoka had sat in the clubhouse after a stunning 64 and 10-under 278 total.
"I think this performance is one of my best performances I've ever had in my professional career", Park said.
A day after feeling that a three-under 69 did not reflect how well she had played, Ryu admitted an identical score on Friday was perhaps more than she deserved. Park, needing to make hers to stay alive, drained the putt to take the playoff to the 16th, the site of her adventures in regulation.
"After the front nine, I couldn't actually expect to be leading after the third round", she said. "I made it to a playoff in a major". Park's putter used to be 34 inches long, but she shortened it to 33 inches.
