Sex workers complain about Ranbir Kapoor's movie

A complaint has reportedly been filed against Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in connection of their upcoming film Sanju, according to News18 TV reports. The complaint is now being vetted by the Electronic Media Monitoring Centre of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Even as the movie is gearing up for release, the National Commission for Women today received a complaint against the movie Sanju for allegedly making derogatory remarks against sex workers in the film, the Commission chairperson said today. The film is hitting the screens tomorrow and the pre-release bookings of Sanju have been exceptional. Both the actors were playing their respective characters, Anushka being a biographer and Ranbir playing Sanju. The film also stars Dia Mirza as Sanjay's wife Maanayata Dutt, Sonam Kapoor as one of Sanjay's love interests, Anushka Sharma as a biographer, Karishma Tanna as Madhuri Dixit amongst others.
