Trump says DPRK no longer 'nuclear threat'

President Donald Trump's remarks about North Korea no longer being a nuclear threat were made "with eyes wide open", U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday.

There will be no sanctions relief for North Korea until its complete denuclearization, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said in Seoul.

It was the first time a sitting US president met face to face with a North Korean leader.

The 42-minute-long program, narrated by North Korea's most famous newscaster, Ri Chun-hee, was broadcast on state-run television Thursday, two days after the historic summit in Singapore and a full day after Kim returned home to his country's capital, Pyongyang.

In the four-point joint statement, North Korea committed only "to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula".
