Tesla's Autopilot to get 'full self-driving feature' in August

13 June 2018

Musk tweeted that Tesla's Version 9, a software update that will automatically install in Tesla cars, would "begin to enable full self-driving features" and entirely fix certain issues with "Autopilot", the name for the company's package of semi-driverless features such as advanced cruise control. Musk also tweeted over the weekend that the new version of his Roadster two-door sports coupe will feature a SpaceX option, a nod to his rocket company.

He said the current version of Autopilot was most focused on safety, while the August update would introduce more autonomy. A preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Board has raised serious concerns about how it functioned in the moments leading up to a fatal crash of a Tesla Model X SUV in California earlier this year.

Tesla shares closed 0.50% higher at $317.66.

The Elder Scrolls 6 announced
It's likely we'll see more of Rage 2 , and hopefully some more of Fallout 76 , but maybe there will be a few surprises in store. We'll continue to follow Bethesda and watch for when a solid release date is shared - by Bethesda or Walmart Canada.

Here is a great news for Tesla autonomous owners that coming in August - a new software update is coming toTesla's self-driving cars and that update would bring more autonomy to Tesla's Autopilots.

What Musk means by "full self-driving features", though, is another question.

The Autopilot feature, which includes auto-steering, lane assist and automatic braking must now be used with the driver remaining ready to take full control and keep hands on the wheel. Most cars lack the lidar sensors and 360-degree cameras that can be used to detect lanes, obstacles, and traffic-sensors that are ubiquitous in autonomous test vehicles. It will also increase the vehicle's range on a full charge to 620 miles.

North Korea's Kim lands in Singapore ahead of summit with Trump
Rodman has traveled to North Korea in the past and seems to have struck up an unlikely friendship with the North Korean leader. He also spoke of how happy he was that Trump had agreed to meeting with Kim, which no US president has done before.

While Musk's announcement appears absurd to some, Tesla executives are not confirming nor denying his claim.

Musk called the new Tesla Roadster a "smackdown" to conventional vehicle companies, and after taking a look at the specs, I think he has a point.

On Saturday, Musk said the package will include around 10 small rocket thrusters that will improve the vehicle's acceleration, maximum speed, braking, and handling. Speaking on Twitter, he confirmed that the rockets would actually be powered by SpaceX technology and would result in the Tesla Roadster's rear seats being removed to allow for the technology to fit. And we think that is enough time for the tech-maverick Elon Musk to figure out how those 10 rockets will blend into the vehicle.

Rafael Nadal, the King of Clay, Wins His 11th French Open Title
Nadal has never lost a best-of-five match on clay after winning the first set, and Thiem was unable to change that equation. Nadal's introduction included a year-by-year accounting of every time he'd already won the title at Roland Garros .
