It's been a superb campaign for Sean Dyche's men that's destined to see them in the Europa League qualifying rounds [at least] next season so we shouldn't be taking anything for granted today if we want to send Wenger off with a win.

Burnley, who narrowly avoided relegation last season but are now preparing themselves for their first season of European football since 1967, had been hoping to pull level on points with Arsenal.

The speech was followed by a lap of honour around the pitch where Wenger applauded every corner of the stadium, thanking fans for their support over the years.

Wenger's last-ever Arsenal programme notes kicked off with the manager talking about the painful Europa League semi-final defeat to Atletico Madrid on Thursday night. "I will always be an Arsenal fan".

The Frenchman was presented with the special trophy that the club was awarded in recognition of his Invincibles seasons of 2003-04 to keep as a personal momento of his time at the club.

Wenger still has a couple of Arsenal games left to play mind you - visiting Leicester in midweek before travelling to Huddersfield on the final day of the season.

Then, after the game, the club put on a handsome tribute for their longest serving manager and arguably their very greatest. Thank you all for being such an important part of my life. I would like to finish by saying one simple thing: I will miss you.

"I don't know [about a break]", Wenger added. "Well done. Bye bye".
