Ms. Dantzscher, who won a bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games, said she had spoken out about Dr. Nassar's abuse beginning that year and received criticism from members of the U.S.A. Gymnastics staff.
"He didn't say it in a way that was mean or anything like that", Maroney added.
The full interview with Maroney, as well as an interview with former national team coordinators Bela and Martha Karolyi, will air during a "Dateline" special on Sunday night on NBC.
Before she and Pulido began the interview Tuesday, Maroney told the N.Y.S.P.C.C. members that she had to use flash cards to help guide her as she answered questions.
Diamonds found in an unknown meteorite came from a lost planet
New research has shown that orality contain large diamond grains, which could occur when high pressure inside the protoplanet. Such planetary embryos got ejected from the solar system and either became rogue planets or smashed together.
Nassar, 54, is serving a 60-year prison sentence for federal child pornography crimes and was convicted earlier this year of 10 sex assaults in MI, where he also faces a prison term of 40 to 175 years.
Olympic gymnasts Jordyn Wieber and Jamie Dantzscher recounted to the senators their now familiar accounts of how Nassar, who treated America's Olympic women gymnasts for more than two decades, assaulted them under the guise of medical treatments, through massaging techniques they only realized years later had actually been sexual assaults.
"Dr. Nassar was not a doctor, he in fact is, was, and forever shall be, a child molester, and a monster of a human being", Maroney wrote.
How many times before she finally quit competitive gymnastics?
Trump, Abe agree to intensify talks on trade deals, differences remain
Abe said at the press conference: "We agreed to start consultations for free, fair and reciprocal trade deals". But Wednesday brought public disagreements, as Trump spurned his guest's top economic and trade priorities.
Dantzscher said she was abused in Texas, in California, and during gymnastics competitions throughout the country.
She told senators the current culture of elite gymnastics lends itself to it, describing situations where Nassar would touch her all over her body in the middle of a crowded gym. Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas both did so in November of 2017, with Jordyn Wieber doing so earlier this year in January.
"All they cared about is money and medals", she said as a featured speaker for the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children's spring luncheon. "They demanded excellence from me, but they couldn't give it to us".
At the Prevention of Cruelty to Children luncheon in NY on Tuesday, the athlete also shared that Nassar even referred to the abuse as her "sacrifice" to get to the Olympics.
'Sugar daddy' recruit Melina Roberge jailed in $21m cocaine cruise ship bust
Roberge's sentence includes a non-parole period of 4 years and 9 months in jail before she is likely to be deported to Canada. Authorities have described the incident as Australia's largest drug seizure on a commercial plane or boat.
The 22-year-old Maroney was part of the "Fierce Five" United States women's gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He has been sentenced to 40 to 175 years in one MI county and 40 to 125 years in another on sexual assault charges.
