Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will join hundreds in London this Sunday to mark Yom HaShoah, marking Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Day.

While 6 million Jews are estimated killed in the Holocaust, 31 percent of all respondents and 41 percent of millennials, aged 18 to 34, believe that number is 2 million or less, according to the survey.

Additionally, 41 percent of millennials believe two million Jews or less were killed during the Holocaust.

A new survey found that Americans are beginning to lack basic knowledge about the Holocaust.

The Holocaust Knowledge and Awareness Study, released on Holocaust Remembrance Day, found that many USA adults lack basic knowledge of the events that occurred during the Holocaust-and that the lack of Holocaust knowledge was more pronounced among American Millennials ages 18 to 34.

Over a fifth of millennials in the United States have not heard of or are unsure if they have heard of the Holocaust, a study found.

While 41 percent of all US adults were able to identify Auschwitz, two-thirds of millennials polled - 66 percent - could not identify the infamous death camp.

Americans today have large gaps of knowledge or are ignorant to the history and consequences of the Holocaust, some 73 years since Nazi Germany's atrocities became known to the world, according to a survey commissioned by a Jewish organization which works to compensate survivors.

Also, while the vast majority of historians believe that approximately six million Jews were exterminated in the Holocaust, almost one-third of all Americans (31%) and more than four-in-ten Millennials (41%) believe that only two million Jews or fewer were killed in the Holocaust.

Data was collected and analyzed by Schoen Consulting with a representative sample of 1350 American adults via landline, cell-phone, and online interviews.

Just over two thirds (68%) thought that anti-Semitism was present in the United States, half believed there were many neo-Nazis in the country, and most people thought it was important to continue teaching about the Holocaust and that it should be compulsory in schools.

Most US Adults (84%) know that the Holocaust occurred in Germany, the study determined, yet just 37% identified Poland as a country where the Holocaust occurred.

"This study underscores the importance of Holocaust education in our schools", Greg Schneider, Executive Vice President of the Claims Conference, said in a statement.

"On the occasion of Yom HaShoah, it is vital to open a dialogue on the state of Holocaust awareness so that the lessons learned inform the next generation".

Holocaust survivors shared their stories with dozens of county dignitaries, religious figures and children.

Harvey, Maria and others retired as hurricane names
You won't be seeing Harvey, Irma, Maria or Nate as names for hurricanes or tropical storms anytime soon. The storm stalled there for four days, causing catastrophic flooding in parts of southeastern Texas.

"We came here today to send a clear message to the world against anti-Semitism and in support of teaching the memory of the Holocaust to future generations", Danon said in a statement from the march.
