Third synthetic marijuana user dies in IL after severe bleeding

Two of the deaths were men in their 20's; the third was a man in his 40's.

The patients are believed to have been exposed to brodifacoum, a pesticide widely used as rat poison that causes severe bleeding.

The Illinois Department of Public Health asked local health departments to issue the warning, saying health officials "strongly urge everyone not to use" synthetic cannabis.
