He also called on Congress to get rid of the filibuster and "go to 51 votes in the Senate " in order to have "success" in Congress.

It was the latest in a series of school massacre shootings that have sparked debate over gun restrictions in a country where a citizen's right to bear arms is a bedrock constitutional liberty.
