The Karmei Tzur attack was the fourth deadly incident in the West Bank since Israeli rabbi Itamar Ben Gal was stabbed to death on Monday near the settlement of Ariel.
On Tuesday, Israeli security forces announced that the case has been closed after they found and killed Ahmad Jarrar, who they say was behind the killing of the rabbi.
Another security guard on duty at the time shot and killed the assailant.
PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah reiterated the claim that "settlement expansion", as well as Israel's military control in certain areas of the West Bank, were the main issues preventing the existence of a strong Palestinian economy.

A Palestinian teenager was shot dead by an Israeli security guard on Wednesday following an alleged stabbing attack in an illegal settlement north of Hebron. The military said the suspect was not apprehended in the operation and seven people were detained for questioning.
