Producer Judd Apatow called the story "so messed up that it is nearly hard to believe".

Those who study the intersection between gender politics and pop culture called it a humiliation for the production company and a black eye for Hollywood.

There probably isn't a movie out there that has made less money but received more attention than Ridley Scott's All the Money in the World. Apparently, the film had all the money for star Mark Wahlberg, but not for his co-star Michelle Williams. Williams, like Wahlberg a client of WME, received approximately $80 a day, totaling less than $1,000.

"I thought I would have to raise my daughter to learn how to protect herself in a unsafe world and I think because of the work Tarana has done and the work I am learning how to do, we actually have the opportunity to hand our children a different world", Williams told Ryan Seacrest during a red carpet interview. She told USA Today at the time, 'They could have my salary, they could have my holiday, whatever they wanted.

Hulu Renews Runaways and Future Man
Hulu has just announced that it will be bringing the teen superhero show based on the comics by Brian K. Now that we know a second season on the way, there's never been a better time to jump in.

"I wonder if the studio or Wahlberg will do something to make the situation less insane", filmmaker Judd Apatow added.

That's the claim from USA Today, who report that Williams was paid less than 1% of her male co-star's fee for the reshoots, and wasn't informed of the move.

That's electrifying enough on its own; what's more startling is that both actors are represented by the same agency, William Morris Endeavor, and Williams reportedly was not told that Wahlberg's representatives had negotiated the hefty fee for him.

Other actors and filmmakers have come forward with their own allegations, and London's Metropolitan Police are investigating at least one alleged incident following a complaint.

"This seems like another way to tell women that their worth isn't the same as men", said Dr. Adrienne Trier-Bieniek, a qualitative researcher who examines the connection between pop culture and social inequality.

Scott's success led to Plummer receiving a Best Supporting Actor nod at the Globes, with another nomination announced for February's Bafta film awards.

Marvet Britto, a public relations and brand strategist, said the "All the Money" pay disparity doesn't dilute the movement. The people briefed on the matter said that she did so believing that other participants had made the same decision.

"I really hope that with everything coming to light, she was paid fairly", she tweeted.

Kia Plans 16 New Electrified Vehicles by 2025
Right on the heels of introducing the plug-in hybrid Niro , Kia is previewing an all-electric version of the small wagon. Kia showed off a new all-electric SUV concept Monday that it hopes will have a range of 238 miles on a single charge.

But Wahlberg, the highest-paid actor of the year, clocking in at $68 million, according to Forbes, opted for a huge payout in the wake of the sexual harassment reckoning. The Post, citing sources close to the negotiations, reported then that Wahlberg was paid at least $2 million for approximately 10 days of work.
