Latest update is that Central Board of Film Certification has reportedly chose to issue a U/A certificate to Padmavati provided certain suggested modifications are done including a change in the title. One of the key changes involve the renaming of the film from Padmavati to Padmavat. The movie has been given a UA certificate.Film Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had earlier said that the movie was based on the 16th-century epic poem "Padmavat" by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. Arvind Singh from Udaipur, Dr Chandramani Singh and professor K K Singh of the Jaipur University were also included in the special panel.
CBFC sources say that the title will be changed from "Padmavati" to "Padmavat" and at least three different disclaimers have to be added during the course of the film, sources say.
Apple CEO Tim Cook's Annual Pay Jumps 47 Percent to $12.8 Million
Adding $89.2 million in equity award, Cook brought home a whopping $ 102 million in 2017, minus compensations. The pay increase came from a larger bonus because Apple beat its goals for annual sales and operating profit.
"This was an unprecedented and tough situation", Prasoon Joshi, chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), said in an email. However, the protest around the film grew more just ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on 1st December 2017.
CBFC has demanded modifications in the song "Ghoomar" to "befit" the character of Rajput queen Padmavati being portrayed by Padukone, and changes in the "incorrect/misleading reference to historical places".
Once Shahid Kapoor agreed to play the role, the film has been stuck into a soup because the Karni Sena seems to have a major problem with the film.
Turnovers give Mississippi State 31-27 win over Louisville
Thompson struggled with his accuracy against Ole Miss, but that shouldn't come as a surprise given his lack of experience. The Bulldogs were definitely one of the better teams in the SEC, as the No. 24 overall ranking would indicated.
"We will station our people outside cinema theatres and each hall showing the film will be vandalized", Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, president, Shree Rajput Karni Sena, told media in Jaipur. The film was finally submitted last month and Bhansali had himself requested a commitee of historians and members of the Rajput community view the film and facilitate its release. "They are in agreement with the modifications", the Board said.
Despite Bhansali claiming that no historical facts have been tampered with, the hue and cry around the film did not mitigate.
