The world's biggest Starbucks just opened in China

It's the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Shanghai, a new installment of Starbucks's upscale Roastery concept that first opened in Seattle in 2014.

Just in time for the holidays, the world's largest Starbucks is now open in Shanghai.

The one bright spot was China, which stood out as Starbucks' fastest growing market.

Twin to the Seattle-based inaugural small-lot Reserve cafe, the new restaurant boasts Starbucks' first augmented reality experience. When customers enter the massive new Roastery building, which measures up at 2,700 square-meters (30,000 square-feet), they'll be greeted by a two-story copper cask adorned with over a thousand hand-engraved Chinese stamps, collectively narrating the story of Starbucks coffee.

One of its three coffee bars is 88-feet long, the longest Starbucks bar in the world - because waiting in line is so 2016.

This includes over 600 stores in Shanghai - the largest number of stores in any city where Starbucks has a presence.
