"House of Cards" final season shooting to resume without Spacey

06 December 2017

The Hollywood Reporter said Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos had announced that production on the popular political drama - put on hold in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment made against Spacey - would resume.

Speaking Monday at UBS' Global Media and Communication Conference, he added the order would provide "some closure to the show for fans".

Scotland Yard is investigating Spacey, who was artistic director at London's Old Vic theatre between 2004 and 2015, over two allegations of sexual assault.

The season will be eight episodes, shorter than the show's traditional 13.

Frisina and Rodriguez were spotted on cameras in Georgia on Sunday and then at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Rodriguez and the teen had been around each other "at sports events, but they've never been alone at all", Smith said.

Variety magazine reported last month that one suggested plan was to kill off Spacey's character and focus on Wright's Claire Underwood as a way to salvage season 6. It was considered likely that Spacey would be written out of the show. Netflix suspended production of the sixth season of House of Cards at the end of October after actor Anthony Rapp came forward to accuse Spacey of making unwanted sexual advances toward him more than three decades ago when Rapp was underage.

First elements of response, with the announcement of a Kevin Spacey totally absent from the season.

Writing Spacey out of House of Cards isn't a stretch.
