Zuckerberg claimed the staff joked with the passenger by asking him "Are you behaving today?" and continued to serve him alcoholic beverages throughout the flight, while the drunk passenger continued to make inappropriate and offensive comments to her.

Ms Zuckerberg updated her Facebook post after she talked to the Alaska Airlines executives.

According to her complain, Flight attendants offered Zuckerberg to move her to a seat at the back of the plane.

The New York Times noted there is no centralized database where data about sexual harassment on airlines is collected. On this, she said in the letter that "Which I nearly did until I realized ... why should I have to move?"

"Once Ms Zuckerberg told flight attendants about this man's behaviour, they should have moved him to a different seat or ejected him from the airplane".

At one point, she claims the man made a reference on the ongoing sexual harassment scandals in the media, commenting: 'These Millennial women just aren't willing to give some booty to get a job anymore'. I guess his $ means more than our safety?

"We can not support businesses that are complicit in allowing this behavior, and value the money of harassers over the comfort of their passengers", she added. One man called the incident "insane and just beyond the pale", while another said she showed restraint because "a single photo or video of this aggressor would have quickly exposed him".

Shortly after tweeting her complaint, Zuckerberg followed up to say the airline had reached out to inform her it had suspended the other passenger's privileges and that it is investigating the matter.
