Backup Case Keenum has stepped up as the Vikings starting quarterback, leading the team to three straight victories since their win over the Bears at Soldier Field in Week 5.

The Minnesota Vikings have taken quarterback Teddy Bridgewater off the physically unable to perform list, adding him to the active roster for the first time since he badly injured his left knee during practice more than 14 months ago.

Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen, who is one game shy of the team record for consecutive games with a sack, did not practice Wednesday.

It's a tough blow for Bradford, who underwent arthroscopic surgery Tuesday. "So we just keep going from there and see how this thing plays out".

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott will practice this week, wait on ruling
Quinn told reporters on Monday that he will prepare for the Cowboys to have their No. 1 running back come Sunday. District Court Judge Katherine Polk Failla denied Elliott an injunction after a status hearing in NY on Monday.

For the first half of the season, it was a question almost each week whether Bradford would be healthy enough to start or if backup Case Keenum would get the call. "The guy worked extremely hard trying to get back, spent a whole bunch of his own money trying everything and it just didn't work out".

"It was just lingering", Zimmer said of the decision for Bradford to have surgery. "Hopefully we'll be able to get him back when he gets healthy". Zimmer said Bridgewater at times has been rusty. "He's moved well, thrown the ball well, good accuracy".

Griffen stretched with the team at the start of practice Wednesday, wearing a stocking cap rather than a helmet.
