WhatsApp scraps Edit feature for changing sent messages

WhatsApp users with fingers moving faster than their brain will be happy to know the company's rolling out a new feature that lets you retract that last message, and wipe it from the conversation.

The feature will work within 7 minutes of sending the message in any of the above-mentioned forms. Alongside the feature, Delete for Everyone, users are also likely to see the Delete for Me option, if they only wish to erase the message from their phone.

Whether you've sent a message in anger, under the influence, or just by mistake, there are numerous reasons for wanting to erase a message you've sent.

Whatsapp notes, "Messages you successfully delete for everyone will be replaced with "This message was deleted" in your recipients' chats (*)".

If you haven't been following, WhatsApp's message revoking feature, as one can imagine from the name, lets users delete or retract the text sent to someone accidentally.

Well those dark days are finally over, and the feature you can thank for that is called 'Delete for Everyone' and it's now rolling out on iPhones, Android smartphones and Windows Phone. As well, WhatsApp warns that you won't get a notification if the "delete for everyone" feature failed to work, so be sure to double-check.
