A little boy in Cleveland spent the night behind bars after he stole his family's auto and led police on a risky high-speed chase.
The boy's father said the family is working together to get him the help he needs.
The incident is not the first time the boy has stolen the family auto, WEWS-TV reported.
The auto chase began in Westlake as the boy was traveling westbound on Interstate 90, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a press release.
The boy then eluded those officers through two OH counties-Lorain and Erie-by tearing across the blacktop at speeds reaching 96 miles per hour. After the driver failed to stop, officers with the Westlake Police Department pursued the vehicle.
Buffalo Wild Wings shares surge after earnings beat, guidance increase
Buffalo Wild Wings posted earnings of $1.36 a share, excluding items, easily topping analysts' projections of 79 cents a share. When volume is decreased significantly, it may indicate there is an issue that shareholders should watch out for.
That's when at least four Ohio Highway Patrol troopers joined in on the chase and attempted a rolling roadblock as the boy drove erratically along the turnpike, with the troopers close behind for close to 20 miles.
The boy drove almost 50 miles before as many as eight troopers were able to get him stopped, according to troopers who spoke with WOIO. "Motioned for him to pull over and the child shook his head and said "no" and continued driving", the officer said.
The pursuit ended when a trooper nudged the vehicle into a sign.
Hampton said his sister was getting his son ready for school Thursday morning.
"It was very lucky no one was hurt", Hoffman said. He spit on troopers and kicked one in the chin.
China is churning out a new billionaire every 5 days
And unlike in the West, owners of conglomerates make up 23 per cent of China's rich club, according to the report. Asia's economic expansion saw, on average, a new billionaire created in the region every other day.
On Oct. 16 he took his mom's 2013 Dodge Charger from the driveway and was later found driving with three flat tires on Interstate 90, the TV station reported.
The child was taken to the hospital and will be placed in custody of Erie County Children's Services.
The case is being transferred to Cuyahoga County, where the boy was slapped with similar charges last week, Baxter said.
"He was a good driver for being 10-years-old", an eyewitness to the chase told News 5.
