Man released after London auto incident injured 11

At least 11 persons were injured in the road collision.

The incident, which occurred at about 2.20pm on Saturday, prompted a major security alert, although the city's police authorities later said the crash was not terrorist-related.

Witnesses said the driver was pulled from the auto and detained by bystanders while police were called.

A man is being arrested near the Natural History Museum in London.

The incident sparked fears of a terrorist attack in an area busy with families, but Scotland Yard later confirmed it was being treated as a road traffic collision and was "not being treated as a terror-related incident". Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man has been arrested after a vehicle mounted the pavement outside the Natural History Museum in London, hitting a number of people.

A nearby subway station was closed and a portion of the street was cordoned off, but otherwise police said London's museum district was safe for pedestrians and tourists to visit.
