UP CM to join 'Jana Raksha Yatra' in Kerala on Wednesday

04 October 2017

During his yatra in Kerala, BJP president Amit Shah should "raise consciousness" on political violence against CPI (M) workers as much as against his party cadres for his "mission" to be of some success ("Amit Shah to lead BJP march in Kerala", October 3). "Also, more than 120 workers of the BJP had succumbed to death in Kerala due to political violence".

While inaugurating the Yatra, Shah launched a scathing attack on Kerala's ruling LDF, saying Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was to blame for the murders of BJP and RSS workers in the state.

NBA Revamps All-Star Game Format, Captains Choose Teams
Although the captains are divided by conference, they are not forced to pick players from the same conference as themselves. Of the 13 players on last year's East roster, including injury replacement Carmelo Anthony , four have changed conferences.

Meanwhile, a heated war of words sparked off between the Pinarayi Vijayan and union minister Prakash Javadekar over the latter's remarks on Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPM) and its rule in Kerala. "I met some families who have lost all male members at the hands of communist goons".

Shah said the march was a non-violent protest against the political killings. The march is expected to travel through the state before culminating in Thiruvananthapuram on October 17. "It will make each citizen of Kerala aware of the politics of murder being practised by the CPM", Mr Shah said.

Kim Kardashian tells Trump to 'step up' on Puerto Rico
It was announced earlier in September that Baldwin would reprise his character for the season opener. Kate McKinnon also reprised her role as Jeff Sessions to plead with the president not to tweet.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will join the march on Wednesday from Keecheri to Kannur, Vijayan's hometown and the hub of the political violence. "Kerala was always known as the land of Sree Narayana Guru, Ayyankali and Chattambi Swami but now it is known as the land where blood is spilled", he said. "Such people should speak of intolerance when BJP/RSS workers also lose their lives". Before the launch of the 15-day long yatra, Shah offered prayers at the famous Rajarajeswara Temple in Taliparamba of Kannur district.

However, that's not to say that the BJP is leaving out Muslim strongholds from its show of strength. "But we have to work hard to wrest the state from the Left", a senior BJP leader told ThePrint. With the Congress, the main opposition party in the state, and the Left, maintaining a coordination against the BJP in politics at the national lever, the saffron party believes that it can occupy the opposition space in Kerala and build on its gains to become a major force by the next Lok Sabha polls.
