Pennsylvania Senate rejects no-tax budget plan

22 September 2017

The GOP-controlled state Senate has formally rejected a conservative budget plan passed by the House-essentially resetting negotiations almost three months past the deadline.

Their latest inane solution (after putting slot machines in bars, clubs, airports, rest homes, etc.), is putting them in every household (internet gambling).

The Senate will take up a house proposal that was passed lat week, which would take money from PennDOT and the E.P.A's coffers that are not being used. "I have said repeatedly for three years that we must responsibly fund the budget with recurring revenues", he said.

India brandishes 'intelligence report' of Rohingyas' militant links
As the Myanmar government does not recognise the Rohingyas as its citizens, in general, it will be hard for India to deport them. Most of the Rohingya fled to Bangladesh , but others have ended up in India, Nepal and Pakistan.

After months of warnings, S&P Global Ratings has downgraded Pennsylvania's credit, citing concerns over its chronically unbalanced budget.

"If an agreement has not progressed by next week", the governor's statement said, "I will be forced to take further steps to manage this situation". Their letter said further borrowing "creates an economic "moral hazard" that effectively increases the long-term risks to the commonwealth's finances" and that they were therefore "disinclined to support additional lending" to the state's General Fund. Let the governor know you noticed his lack of responsibility in crafting a responsible budget while those who owed tax payments continued to meet their obligations on time.

The GOP plan approved by the House last week would have seized money from various reserve accounts to close a projected $2.2 billion budget gap. "To us, this signals a lower rating".

In fact, many of its agreements with debt holders prohibit the company from closing stores, restricting its ability to slim down. While toy sales overall have held up fairly well, they are shifting toward discounters and online companies.

"In reaching a final resolution, the budget must be balanced for this year and next", leaders said in a statement.

Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman said inter-chamber negotiations are starting this week, and will probably last through next week.

Unfortunately, like it or not, fair taxation is the only realistic, reliable and stable method to balance a government budget.

But in a statement sent to various media outlets, chairman and CEO Dave Brandon was optimistic about the future of the chain. Two years later he started selling toys, according before opening the first Toys "R" Us branded shop in 1957.

Senate GOP leaders responded by saying compromise must happen immediately and that they are standing behind the July budget package. "We need to plan responsibly today for a better tomorrow, understanding the far-reaching importance of the tough decisions that we have to make now". Call your state senators and tell them to approve the state House's no-tax-increase plan.
