Almost three months after the release of Wonder Woman, which has just crossed the $400 million mark at the U.S. box office making it not only one of the biggest success stories of the summer, but the crown jewel of the DCEU, it's easy to forget what a hard road to the big screen Diana had. The studio's other two films to reach that milestone were "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises", according to Sue Kroll, Warner Bros.' president of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, who noted that all three titles are from the studio's DC Division.
This sounds very much like a scene that was shot as a potential post-credits stinger for the movie that Warner Bros. ultimately decided not to include.

As one of millions who have been introduced (or reintroduced) to Wonder Woman as a contemporary cultural icon, I have been surprised by my own hunger for her story, and by the extent to which this hunger is evidently shared around the world, by women and girls, and also men and boys. However, as "Wonder Woman" is not expected to be released in Japan earlier than August 25, it goes without saying that the movie is sure to make more than $800 million globally in the coming weeks.
The movie, starring actress Gal Gadot in the lead role, Wonder Woman spent numerous years in several states of pre-production. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside men in the war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers.and her true destiny.
