The shooting took place at a mobile home park near the city of Birmingham earlier Wednesday.
Gardendale police released a photo of a potential suspect in a Facebook post and told residents to stay inside while they looked for a man described as an active shooter.
According to Gardendale Police, 51-year-old Kenneth Dion Lever shot two women and one man in a mobile home park, fled the scene and is considered armed and unsafe. Authorities urge anyone who sees him to consider him armed and risky.
Separately, Lever is scheduled to go on trial on sexual-abuse charges on September 11 in York County, Pennsylvania, court records show.

A Lincoln Navigator included in previous vehicle descriptions has been located in Florida and is no longer suspected, Walker said.
