Brandon McCoy (Cathedral Catholic H.S/San Diego, Calif.) contributed eight points and seven rebounds, while Pritchard and Hamidou Diallo (Kentucky) each added eight points.

The United States made 12 three-pointers in the game, and in their six wins in Egypt, averaged a 38 points margin of victory.

Germany refused to fold and although the US built a 28-20 in the second quarter, Germany kept it close and at halftime the Americans led 33-31. But, with 1.3 seconds remaining before the second quarter buzzer, Barrett was fouled on a deep 3 attempt, and after sinking all three free throws, Canada headed to the locker room with a 45-42 lead and Barrett having accounted for 25 of those points. We just don't. What I'm seeing right now is us pressuring them, and at some point, they will back off. "I think we came out and we played great", Pritchard said. Additionally, the US force Germany into 23 turnovers that led to 20 points.
