Right now, Amazon and Best Buy are trying to help make that situation easier by offering a discounted two-pack of the Amazon Echo smart speaker. The first big exception to this rule came when Amazon announced a calling and messaging feature for Alexa devices earlier this May.

Alexa is about to get more assertive.

Celtics @ 7: Series Comes Down To One Final Game
While that series probably needed to go seven games, this one between budding rivals in the Celtics and Wizards absolutely did. Neither team have yet to win on the road in this series but anything can happen in a Game 7 , so you can scrap the form guide.

The move would make Alexa the first among companies like Google and Microsoft whose third-party voice apps can proactively send notifications.

Amazon is going to be adding notifications to its Alexa service, so that skills can provide you with information as it becomes available, unprompted, as opposed to only in response to active voice queries made by a user.

Users can then say voice commands like "Alexa, what did I miss?" or "Alexa, what are my notifications" to catch up on any and all notifications that they might have missed. Owners of the Amazon Echo will soon be able to walk in the front door and ask it to read out any notifications from various third parties, such as the latest headlines from The Washington Post or weather threats from AccuWeather.

ZeniMax is suing Samsung after winning its case against Oculus
With regards to the lawsuit, ZeniMax is ultimately looking towards just one benefit from this hubbub- capital gains. According to Zenimax, Oculus purposefully violated this NDA and stole technology to build its future headsets.

Notifications will be opt-in, so don't worry about your Echo devices all of a sudden buzzing at you with unwanted info. This is pretty useful as this also means that the Echo will not be ruining the ambiance of your house on its own by yelling out news all the time.
