Jackets, Wild In Danger of Sweep

01 May 2017

How else to explain why Zach Werenski of the Columbus Blue Jackets tried to keep playing after taking a puck to the face during the second period of Sunday night's playoff game against the Pittsburgh Penguins?

The Columbus Blue Jackets are facing elimination on Tuesday night at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are up 3-0 in their first-round series.

Thanks to a pair of Maple Leafs goals late in the second period the two teams went into the break tied at three. Guentzel is the first Pittsburgh rookie to get a playoff hat trick.

Game 3 was the Blue Jackets best chance to win a game.

Columbus will face Pittsburgh for game four tomorrow evening at home in OH, looking to get on the board and push their series a bit father.

The New York Giants may have drafted Eli Manning's heir
The New York Giants shocked the masses on Friday, April 28 by drafting a quarterback in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. I think he's just a hard worker off the field as well as on the field, so I don't think it's gonna be a problem for him.

The Penguins found the key to getting past Bobrovsky in Game 3, even on the road, and should have no problem figuring it out again in Game 4.

The momentum lasted all of 51 seconds, or as along as it took for Crosby and Guentzel to break in 2-on-1.

What will decide Tuesday night's game?

Obviously scoring big goals but doing a lot of other things during the game - the penalty kill portion of it, the forecheck, the momentum.

The hope was that he'd be good to go once the swelling went down, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The Oilers bounced back from an overtime loss in their first playoff game in 11 years to post consecutive shutouts and take a 2-1 series lead over the defending Western Conference champions. That is, until Sidney Crosby fed him for the game victor. The Minnesota Wild, who had a 12-game winning streak this season, are down 0-3 to the surprising St. Louis Blues while Cup favorites Chicago and Washington have been plunged into challenging first-round series of their own. Parise has 32 goals and 38 assists in 91 career playoff games.

Economic growth stalls in the early months of 2017
They have penciled in two more interest-rate hikes this year and seek to wean the economy off its $4.5 trillion balance sheet. And, for the same Trump's administration has proposed plan for deducting the corporate income tax rate from 35% to 15%.

"We had to stay with it", Crosby said.

They still have the best players in the series.

Allen has been the star of the first three games.

Dubinsky put the initial shot on net, and when the puck caromed away from Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, right winger Cam Atkinson jammed home the rebound for the quickest playoff goal in the 17-year history of the Blue Jackets.

Artturi Lehkonen and Shea Weber scored power-play goals for Montreal and Carey Price stopped 20 shots. Kassian also scored the first goal in Edmonton's 2-0 win in Game 2. But if they aren't fixed immediately (and they nearly cost Columbus what initially looked like an easy win Tuesday), they will be the nail in the Blue Jackets' anticipated coffin.

Suspended Alabama chief justice Moore declares US Senate bid
A judicial discipline panel suspended Moore after ruling that he urged probate judges to refuse marriage licenses to gay couples. She raised $1.6 million for her re-election campaign in 2006, with business groups again making large contributions.
